Upcoming Preorder: Minifee and Unoa Sydney Dresses

Hello everyone! Welcome again to my intermittent blog~! Hooray.

inEssence Creations - Minifee Sydney Dress (Royale Blue)
I had a lot of people ask me about this dress when I brought it to Doll North last May, but I wasn't quite ready to do anything with it then. It was just a fun project for me to do to give Mali something special of her own - the pattern wasn't finalized, I didn't have much of the fabric, and I had so much else on my plate that it just wasn't going to happen.

However, I've been playing around with the pattern again, a wonderful friend lent me her Unoa for pattern testing, the lace tops weren't working as I had hoped, AND I randomly found more of this fabric while I was on a trip, so it seemed like the perfect time to switch up my plans and release these dresses instead.

This will be a limited release of 6 dresses so that I can get them out in a reasonable time. You can choose between Small and Large/Glamour bust Minifee and Large bust Unoa. :) They are only available in the Royale fabric this time, but in both Navy and Cream. I've been experimenting with other fabrics to see which ones will work in this style and should have more available at a later date.

The preorder for these dresses will open on December 16th (time still TBD) and go until all 6 spots are taken. There will be another post here and on Instagram with the final details.

Hope you like them! ♥

Coming up next is ideally lace tops and fox skirts! But maybe we'll see something else in between. ;)

Etsy Update: August 12 @ 6:30pm EST - So. Many. Skirts.

Hello everyone!

Long time no sewing, but back now and excited for the future. :) I've had some personal things going on lately that have been getting in the way of... well... everything. Still a bit unsure if I'll make a post about any of it - we'll see.

inEssence Creations - Minifee Simple Skirts

Anyway! I've been working hard these last few weeks getting ready to restock my Etsy. :) I asked on Instagram if I should do a big update later or a small one soon and most people were pretty torn. So was I, so I decided to pick somewhere in the middle and do a biggish update by number of items, but less variety so I could post it soonish. *thumbs up for fence-sitting*

This one is going to be Minifee skirts! Approximately eleventy billion Minifee skirts.

Raspberry - Unoa Lusis (belongs to @starsarerobots) wearing inEssence Creations Minifee Simple Skirt in Forget-me-not
Modelled on a Unoa body

The update includes some remakes of previous skirts that sold out really quickly, plus a few new designs in some wonderful fabrics I've collected.

They will be up on Etsy at 6:30pm EST on August 12.

Also included is a series of skirts I've been wanting to make for about 2 years. The fabric store closest to me has a series of food fabrics that have been on the shelves for ages and I've always thought it would be funny to make skirts from some of the more doll-sized prints. Well, I finally convinced myself (with a little prodding from Goodbyeyouhellome) to just go for it even though it sounds silly, and I'm really pleased with the results!

There are 4(+1) patterns in this series at the moment: asparagus, popcorn, raspberry, river stones, and artichoke. I didn't get very much of each fabric but if they end up selling well I'll look for some more foods to add. :)

I think the artichoke is my favourite. What's yours?

The next update will be a preorder. Be sure to check out my Instagram for sneak peeks and updates. :)

5th Anniversary Giveaway Outfits

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've shared any sewing here (#thanksgradschool), so let's get up to date! Here are some photos of the two outfits I made for the winners of my 5th Anniversary Giveaways.

---

DrMeowgon won the art contest giveaway and asked for a LittleFee sized skirt in the new 'Little Foxes' fabric I had recently bought. It's so adorable that I had to go buy more after I finished the skirt.

inEssence Creations - LittleFee Simple Skirt

She also asked if she could commission a cardigan to go with it and picked out the yellow-orange colour. It's a little fussy to work with, but this fabric always looks great. I hope I can find something similar to replace it soon - it's almost gone. :(

I'm particularly fond of how this outfit came out. The fabrics go really well together and the colours play off of each other perfectly. Also, sewing for LittleFee is so much fun, I need a reason to do it more often.

---

inEssence Creations - Minifee Wrap Bracelet
Photojoda won the big outfit giveaway and asked for: a floppy black hat, a white bustier top, and a skirt, cardigan and bracelet in brown/gold tones.

We went through all of my white fabrics trying to choose the right one. In the end, I found the perfect lace in the fabric store near my kitties' vet.

The skirt, cardigan, and bracelet were all old designs so they came together relatively easily. I'm quite fond of this colour combination for the bracelet. (Please excuse the paint on my finger ;p)

inEssence Creations - Minifee outfit

The top and hat I had to design from scratch. Generally my pattern making takes a while, but when I'm designing something entirely new that is nothing like anything I've ever made before it feels like it takes forever.

I experimented with a few different techniques for the hat, including wet felting and glue moulding. In the end neither were quite right for this project, but at least now I have a MNF hat block and some kinda weird shaped proto-hats? I'm hoping I can make a smaller hat block for Jonas. She really needs a little 1920s cloche. :)

The hat went pretty quickly once I figured out the proper materials and technique. I've got some more cut out for Etsy, and one for Bella to keep, because... look at her.

I spent a long time fussing with the pattern for the bustier top. I think I remade it about 6 times to get it just right. A lot of my clothes fit really tightly, so I have to be exact with my patterns. I think I've finally got this one down though - at least for small bust. ;p

I'd like to thank the winners for being so understanding of both my school obligations and the long development process that goes into making my items. You are both amazing.

Lots more updates to come now that classes are winding down and I have more time for dolls, so keep an eye out here for details. Hope you all have a wonderful day. <3

A Short Break in the Desert

Bella - Fairyland Minifee tan Rheia

Hey everyone!

This past week was a break* from school, so we headed to Arizona to visit family. Bella and Panaba came along because the scenery seemed like it would fit.

There was only time for photos once during the trip, but I think they came out really well. Outdoor photos always seem to turn out better for me for some reason.

I picked out some of my favourite ones for the blog, but you can see the rest on Flickr: [link].

Bella - Fairyland Minifee tan Rheia

We went hiking out in the desert and brought along a picnic, so since I had Bella's blanket with me and one of the antique miniature cups I found recently, I figured she could have a picnic too. :)

Because I hadn't planned this before we left, we had to make do with what materials were around. So Bella got a real tiny sandwich made from some of the ingredients we used in our human-sized picnic, and some water in her cup.

She's wearing her dreamcatcher tank top from crazykimochi (everyone agreed it was the most 'Arizona-ish') and her jeans that I made for Mali many years ago. It was also quite a bit colder than we were expecting, so she has on a jacket from goodbyeyouhellome.

As usual, this picnic is a shoe-free zone, because shoes are the worst. ;)

They day before we went for the hike, I'd picked up a small bag from a weaver at the Arizona Renaissance Festival so I grabbed a few cranberries to put inside. They can be... weirdly shaped pomegranates or something. The bag barely fit two cranberries, so I'm not sure what it's meant for at human scale, but it works perfectly for Bella.

Panaba - Fleece + Feather Studios Raccoon

I haven't spent very much time sharing information about the character's in Bella's story (it used to be Mali's story, but let's face it, Bella is the star), but Bella is a bit of a wanderer, so finding her in strange places - like sitting under a tree in the desert - it not uncommon.

Panaba - Fleece + Feather Studios Raccoon

Since Panaba has become part of Bella's world, it's been fun trying to think up scenarios between the two of them. Panaba is a bit of a greedy sneak thief, so incorporating that aspect of her into a picnic was pretty easy!

When I first found her name, I checked online to make sure it didn't mean anything horrible, and found a 'name meaning' site that had an eerily similar definition to how I wanted her to be. It seems like that site is gone now, but I managed to salvage a few keywords: ambitious, organized, practical, successful, selfish, and materialistic.

That makes her come off a little worse than intended, but hopefully there will be more chances for you to get to know Panaba in the near future.

Still, the best way to get Panaba to stop stealing food, is to thoroughly distract her. Seems like the cactuses did the trick!

Bella and Panaba - Fairyland Minifee tan Rheia and Fleece + Feather Studios Raccoon

I hope you liked this little look into Bella's life, if you want to see more of the photos, please check out my Flickr album.

I'm hoping to have some more sewing updates for you all soon too. I got some cool fabrics in Arizona that I'm dying to try out, but commissions first! Hope you're all doing well!

*'break' might be a strong word as I still had a lot of work to do, but at least I didn't have to go to campus. :p

Etsy Update: September 30th @ 7pm EST

inEssence Creations - Sydney Dress; Bella - Minifee Rheia

Hi everyone!

To round off the anniversary funness, I'll be updating my Etsy shop tonight at 7pm. Unfortunately, it's not going to be as giant as I had planned due to some irritating issues with prototyping. My apologies for that. :(

However, there are still some new items and older designs in new fabrics going up (and a lot of purple! and Bisou Ai stuff! Finally!), so I hope you'll enjoy. <3

Hopefully I can work out the kinks in the other items and have them out soon. Until then, thank you all again for your support. It means more than I can say. You are amazing. <3

Mini Giveaway: Art Contest!

Hello again everyone!

It's time for another 5th Anniversary Fun Fair activity!

This one is a little bit more work for you, but hopefully still enjoyable - the challenge is to draw one (or more if you're feeling ambitious ;P) of my 4 character dolls. It doesn't have to be coloured, you can do chibi, realistic, draw them as cats, up to you! The most important thing is that they be recognizable as the character you are depicting - so pay attention to Mali's hair and Bella's bitchface, but feel free to get crazy with Tobi's hair and outfits.

To help you out (because I am a fail and don't post about my girls very often) here's a photo of each of them and a few words to describe their personality. For more in-depth information, you can also read the answers to the 20-ish questions set I posted a while ago: [link], or check their '10 Facts' on the 'About my Dolls' tab.

Mali - Minifee Shushu, Tobi - Unoa Lusis, Bella - Minifee Rheia, Jonas - Bisou Ai Bonbon

This giveaway is only open for 5 days from September 19th-23rd. Entries will be taken on Instagram: #inessencedrawme, or you can post it wherever and comment the link here.
** Contest has been extended to September 26th because weekends**

The prize is the winners choice of one of three custom items: a custom wrap bracelet, or a custom cropped (or regular length if you prefer) shirt, or a custom butterfly cardigan.* Wrap bracelets can be made for any size, but the top/cardigan is only available for MNF.

I will be picking my favourite entry, so this will not be a random draw like the big giveaway. This is meant to be just for fun, so please be respectful of others and above all, enjoy yourself. Please don't stress. <3

*I might be willing to make something else around the same price point if you really have your heart set on a different thing. ;)

Etsy Update: August 20th @ noon EST!

First draft using current habits, and old pattern.... ^^;

Hello everyone!

I've finally carved out a little bit of time to sew while we wait for contractors to get back to us and will be posting a few items up for sale on Etsy. There will be long MNF butterfly cardigans, wrap bracelets, and (barring any catastrophes) Minifee Puff shorts! These are an old design I decided to revisit. They gave me a bit of trouble because I made the pattern a long time ago before I started using my current 'best practices' so it's taken a bit of tweaking to figure out what I was up to with the original. Oops!

Anyway, mini update will be on Saturday August 20th at noon EST. Hope to see you there! :)

Backyard Photo Sessions

We finally moved in to our new house last week and I've been taking advantage of a nice photo spot in the backyard that works really well for Bella and Panaba. There's a patch of elfin thyme (which I might add to in the future ;) ) and a tree with moss and a nice bark texture. It's a huge tree so it's not really in scale, but still works. :)

Panaba got the first shot at it when I brought her with me to water plants. Investigating baby strawberries and the super tall tree. She's going to have a lot of fun here - just have to hope she doesn't meet the live raccoon that lives nearby!

Bella got some photos today too when starsarerobots came to visit. She looks really badass and it's a tad annoying. ;P She needs a new face-up soon but she's still rocking everything. I love how her hair was blowing in the wind here. One of the perks of alpaca wigs ~

I still don't have any photos of Bella and Panaba together outside, so I guess that's next! Overall I'm really happy with a lot of the photos from these shoots, so expect to see lots more until I find a new spot. ;) Need to upgrade my photo editing program because it's blurry on my new computer, so apologies if any of these are a tad out of focus. -.-;

This is my favourite photo from the whole set. It just fully encapsulates Bella as I see her - intense, strong, and effortlessly gorgeous. Every time I see this photo it's just... yes.

Rheia is such a beautiful sculpt. I'm so glad I was able to bring her home. She is so expressive and can flip between pensive and serene and firey and vicious with a slight change in angle. Bella specifically is always intense. I hope to continue developing and sharing her character with you all as we continue settling in. <3

Etsy Update: March 19 @ 11:30am

Hello again everyone!

Commissions are done and I've been working really hard on my TODO list and making pretty decent progress if I do say so myself. I've had a few ehm... distractions pop up, but I think they've been fun and productive. There's a big stock of new things built up now, so I think it's time for an Etsy update.

inEssence Creations - M-Line Minifee Cotton Pants

Lots of cute colourful things for Minifee this time around. There are some M-Line pants, some tops, dresses, and remakes of the cute Rainbow Stars shorts.

inEssence Creations - Unoa/Littlefee Wrap BraceletAdditionally, all of the wrap bracelets will be available, there are a bunch in MNF size and some in Unoa size. The Unoa size also works really well for LittleFee, so might be good for other Yo-sized dolls too. :)

Storenvy has become really unreliable and until they fix a major issue, my shop there is entirely unusable. Once I can transfer all of my info, I might end up close my shop there. While I'm looking for other options, I'm going to be relying on Etsy. To test it out, there will be a few spots for custom wrap bracelets available in this update. So if nothing quite appeals (or is in the wrong size), you can order one made just for you!

Bracelets for Days~

The last few days I've been (a bit obsessively) making wrap bracelets again. I had a bit of a spree making them in 2013, but haven't made any new ones for about 2 years now (whoops!). Working with beads is so enjoyable! So far I've got a big pile of designs - including a few remakes of my favourites that ended up sold or as gifts for friends. I even remade my absolute favourite design twice so I can keep one for Bella. Totally making progress on the 'clothes for my dolls' resolution! Kinda!

inEssence Creations - Minifee Wrap Bracelets

I think my current favourites are the Navy and Gold, Pink Shell and Matte Bronze, and the two jumble pattern ones. I accidentally ended up with a lot of darker colour combinations, so I might try for a few brighter ones soon. We'll see what happens. :)

***

A new bead store opened up in my neighbourhood recently and is conveniently down the street from my doctor's office. They don't have much selection for me in general, but they had a few little ziplocs of beads around the right size. I'm going to check back again in a few weeks to see if they order them on purpose or if they were just selling leftovers. I got the little transparent silver beads from there and am totally in love. They're such a delicate way to add metallics without overwhelming anything.

I'll be putting them all up on Etsy sometime in the next few weeks along with some spots for people to request custom designs/sizes. It might take a while to get all the photos taken - it's been pretty gloomy recently, but hopefully I can get a whole bunch done in the morning when we get a little patch of sunshine.

If you want to know whether these will fit your doll you can take a measurement of their wrist circumference.

The A-Line/M-Line size fits wrists up to 3.3cm and don't fit LittleFee or Unoa.

The Unoa size fits wrists to about 4.2cm and works for B-Line Minifee and LittleFee.

Hope you like them!

Liebster Tag: Part 1 - Answering Questions

    I would like to thank the wonderful Musume of My Dolly Adventures for tagging me in this (check out her blog for interviews with awesome dolly people!!). I'll be a horrible person, and not actually tag anyone because I don't follow many doll blogs - and precious few with not many followers (also I am a chicken and too scared to contact some of these people), but I will include some links at the bottom to a bunch of people I think you should check out, if you're not already, and some questions to fill out for anyone interested, so hopefully that cancels out.  ^^;

    LIEBSTER RULES:
    1. Thank the person who presented you the award and link back to their blog.
    2. Post the award image on your blog.
    3. Answer 11 questions posted by the presenter.
    4. Nominate 5-11 blogs with less than 200 followers.
    5. Create 11 questions for the nominees to answer.
    6. List these rules in your post. Inform the people you chose of their nomination by leaving a comment on their blog and link them your post.
    MUSUME'S QUESTIONS:
    1. Have you learned any craft because of the hobby?
    2. Honestly... just going by 'learned' as an absolute, not really? I dabbled in so many things before dolls that I haven't really taken any up from scratch. I have, however, improved immensely at quite a few. I've gotten far better at sewing because of dolls, and actually learned to enjoy it (handsewing ftw!), as well as clay stuff, dioramas, and doll painting. I've effectively dropped 2D art at the moment though, and really want to get back into it in 2016. Pencil drawings used to be a big part of my life but have been getting less and less frequent since I got into dolls.
    3. Have you gotten a doll you thought you would never get?
    4. Umm... well. I never really thought I would end up with a Unoa. I'd spent a long time researching alternate sculpts until Tobi popped up on the marketplace. I also never expected to get a LittleFee. It had been on my list for a far future thing, just to try out sewing for that size, but I didn't think it would actually happen. I got very lucky with both of them.
    5. Do you have a preference for any BJD size in particular?
    6. Slim mini is my favourite size. They're big enough to have a presence but small enough they're not super heavy or taking up massive amounts of space. The only thing I dislike about this size is the lack of props and shoes and such available. It's the one thing that brings me back to pining over SDs and tinies.
    7. Do you collect any other type of doll besides BJDs?
    8. I have a little Azone Picco Neemo, but she's meant to be my Unoa's BJD, so I don't know if that counts. I'm more of a plush collecting kind of person.
    9. Have you ever "re-shelled" a character?
    10. Ehm.... yes and no? When Customhouse was doing their manic discount sales my friend wanted to order one, so I bought a Junior Ai Daria with her to offset some of the costs. I figured I could settle and make her Tobi but really expected it was not going to work - and it didn't. I painted her and made clothes and stuff in an attempt to force it, but she was never 'Tobi'. She got sold within a couple weeks after my friend decided she didn't actually want the other doll.
    11. What calls your attention first: the head sculpts or the body sculpts?
    12. Head sculpts for sure. I only really pay attention to bodies when I'm considering buying one, or if someone specifically points it out to me.
    13. Do you "research" the hobby? (find new releases, read reviews, find info about brands...)
    14. Yep! All the time. Musume's blog is great, and I get a lot of info on new Fairyland, Merrydollround, Iplehouse, Soom and many artist doll releases and WIPs through Instagram. Since the big DoA migration I've been pretty far out of the loop for other companies. :( When considering a new doll, I research intensely before making any decisions - owner photos, reviews, videos, hybrids, seeing them in person when possible, etc. Dropping so much money on a doll is pretty nerve-wracking so I'm always very careful before I make the final decision.
    15. Do your dolls have a back story?
    16. The four dolls I've expressly purchased (and my Picco Neemo, sort of) have a backstory. I've been working on it for a few years and the pieces are just starting to fall into place. Hopefully I can start sharing it properly soon! The other two (LittleFee Chloe, and MaskcatDoll Belina) have a sort of... personality? that makes me gravitate toward certain styles, and feel odd dressing them in certain things but no backstory or specific character.
    17. How do you take photos of your dolls: go outside, prepare a big setup, or just snap in any place?
    18. Outside is where my favourite photos are generally taken, but it gets really cold here, and some of my dolls aren't the best posers (even with stands) so I tend to stay inside more than I should. The last while I've been really lazy with photos and just take them wherever, or in front of my little corkboard set up where I do sales photos. In 2014 I was taking a lot using computer backgrounds and they came out really well. My favourite photo of Mali was taken like that. But we've since moved the computer and this isn't possible anymore (my laptop screen isn't big enough). I'm hoping to get a few big photo sets done in 2016 so maybe I can move into the 'prepare a big set up' camp soon. I'd love to be able to pull off some of the things Revilis and Lightly Battered do.
    19. Which is your main avenue to enjoy the hobby? Blogs, videos, forums, social sites?
    20. Most of my enjoyment comes from making things for myself, which is quite disconnected from the social parts of the hobby. But otherwise, I think it comes from interacting directly with other people in the dolly world. Looking at beautiful photos and projects on Instagram, Flickr, and blogs is great, but it's not the same as having a real conversation with a real person.
    21. Have you done doll cosplay?
    22. Yes indeed! Tobi dressed up as San from Princess Mononoke for DN 2014. The outdoor photos are hiding in this album if you want to see: [link]. We also attempted a Vanille cosplay before that, but ran out of time to finish it. I hope one day to try again and do Vanille, Fang, and Lightning together, but we'll see. :) Jonas also needs to be something cute someday. ;)
inEssence Creations - Minifee Princess Mononoke Cosplay

And there you have it. ;P

In addition to the questions, I said I was going to add my own questions and some recommendations for people to check out... but I think I'll put that in a follow-up post because this is quite long already.

Commissions Open: Jan 16th at 11:30am EST!

Despite a few hiccups along the way, my wrists are finally feeling well enough that I feel comfortable taking on commissions again. I do want to make everyone aware that there is the possibility of them taking longer than usual if my wrists decide to prove me wrong. 3-4 weeks is a definite possibility, so please keep that in mind before ordering.

    ***
Commission slots will go live January 16 at 11:30am EST (Toronto time) on my custom shop (link)
They will not be available on Etsy.
    ***

How it works: I have a few slots for specific items. You can order as many things as you want within this limit, but once the limit is reached that's it for the current round of commissions. You can see what is available here: (link), but not the limits, so if there's something you want snatch it quick, because the larger variety of items being offered means the limits are much smaller.

This time around I'll have a few Minifee items from my Subtle Memory Collection available again: Skirts, Shorts, and Cardigans and a very small stock of Halter Tops and Dresses.

Additionally, I will be offering some things from my new collection: Tempest. Tempest is still very new and most of the items are still being tested, but I'm very excited to bring you this little intro.

For anyone who has been watching my Etsy store, this will be old news, but I've been working hard to perfect my pants patterns and will be offering a few custom slots for Minifee Cotton Pants in M-Line and A-Line sizes.

Here are some of the prototypes I've made to get you thinking:

inEssence Creations - Minifee Cotton Pants
    Minifee Cotton Pants in Adelaide
inEssence Creations - Minifee Cotton Pants
Minifee Cotton Pants in Aurora - Teal

    20-ish Questions - Round One

    Bella - Fairyland Minifee Rheia

    Hola everyone!

Over on the BJD Worldbuilders page on Facebook, I posted a list of random questions designed to get people thinking more deeply about their characters. It was meant to get creators out of their comfort zones and learning about their characters in ways that might never be relevant to the main story, but are nonetheless important for development and realistic portrayal.

Be warned, these questions are rather odd, and some require fairly in-depth answers: it took me a few days to answer them all, even though the questions themselves were written in less than an hour. I've posted the blank version here for anyone who wants to try it out. If you fill it out, send me a link, I'd love to read it!

Mine is filled out for all four of my character dolls: Mali (Minifee Shushu), Tobi (Unoa Lusis), Bella (Minifee Rheia), and Jonas (Customhouse Bisou Ai Bonbon). It's somewhat harder to follow, but I like how easy it is to see the contrasts between them all as you read through their separate answers.

If you'd like to read it, please click here: [link], and if you have any more questions or comments, I'd love to hear from you!

    Etsy Update: December 6th

    Hello everyone~!

Just a heads up, the probably last Etsy update of the year is going to be on Sunday December 6th at approximately 11:30am (Toronto time).

I've got a whole bunch Minifee skirts ready for everyone, including restocks of each Sumomo colourway (there is two of each colour) as well as a bunch of one-off skirts in some new fabrics. One of the skirts is in a new Liberty Tana Lawn fabric that I picked up in NYC. I'm having a REALLY hard time letting it go - should hang it up on my wall so I can look at it all the time. ;)

Commission slots are coming in the new year, but will be pretty limited, but I've also got something new in mind to try out, so keep an eye out for lots of new stuff in early 2016! :)

    Doll North 2015 Wrap-Up

    The last two weeks have been a complete whirlwind. Between preparing for Doll North, packing, attending, and all the clean up afterwards, I'm pretty exhausted. -.-;

Doll North 2015 - Masquerade - Minifee Chloe as Rose Tyler
    Minifee Chloe as Rose Tyler

I didn't actually get to see much of Doll North this year, but I enjoyed the parts I did. There were a lot of nice entries in the Masquerade this year - I think my favourites were a tie between Rose Tyler and Snow White. I didn't end up staying long enough to know if either of them won anything, but I hope so.

Doll North 2015 - Magic Mirror Sinead
    Magic Mirror Sinead
Saturday I was selling for basically the whole day, so I didn't get a real chance to browse the market, just a few glances here and there, but there was a huge selection.

My sales went well, but I do have some stuff left over, which I'll be posting on Saturday if anyone is interested. I wanted to so a special shout-out to midnightferret, who is just awesome, as well as the girl who bought on of my Bisou Ai dresses for her Obitsu 25. I didn't catch your name, you are the sweetest. <3

Soom, Loong Soul, Enchanted Doll Eyes, Batchix, and Nanyalin (Magic Mirror) were in attendance as well as a whole bunch of other awesome vendors. Off the top of my head - Milk+Honey, Eleanoranne, SteampetalHighPriestessIce, and Du-hast.

Doll North 2015 - Soom Glati Blossom of Earth Limited

Directly across from me were two girls who had some seriously high-quality stuff. I think it was seasaltt and blumen-lippe, but don't quote me on that. If I had boys I would have been all over it. Thankfully the one dress I was eyeing got snapped up pretty quick, so I bet it's gone to a really good home. :)

Soom had a bunch of Teenie Gems and a few of their big guys. They had a limited edition Glot and Glati pair that just killed me. I don't really like the YoSD size... but I was so sorely tempted. Those outfitsss. DX They also brought along a Doll North special Cutie Pie Beaver named Tinn designed specially for Canada. I didn't get any good photos of him, but it was such a sweet gesture!

Doll North 2015 - Cafe Zephyros Alphie
    Cafe Zephyros Alphie

I think the highlight of the market for a lot of people was the Cafe Zephyros table. Run by the same man who came with Bluefairy in 2013, Cafe Zephyros had some ridiculously adorable little Alpaca Dolls that were a huge hit at Doll North.

For me, my favourite part of the weekend was meeting up with resinmuncher, blindflower, starsarerobots, and artemiselani for Minifee fun times. We kind of took over the Kinton Ramen set for a while and filled it with minis. XD

Doll North 2015 - Minifee Mir
    opalescent_raven's Minifee Mir, Opal

Overall, I had fun, though I think I could have spent my time more wisely. I missed out on meeting a bunch of people - especially Cats10/micaeverywhere and her doll Kaine. Serious fail there on my part. DX

I don't know if I'll be back again next year, and probably not as a seller, but if I am, my top priority will be actually getting people's names. I met so many awesome people this year that I can't contact again because I never got their names. *sigh*

I hope everyone else had an awesome time at Doll North 2015 and I apologize if I seemed all over the place. ^^; <3

    Doll North 2015

    inEssence Creations - Minifee Clothing

Doll North is this weekend and I'm finishing up all the last minute everythings. There are always so many. ;)

As I mentioned before, I'm bringing a whole bunch of items for MNF (sorry, nothing for tinies this year). Most things are OOAK-ish, meaning I'm only bringing one in that fabric/size/style with me, but you can order items after DN if you miss out on something you wanted.

To reiterate from my last post:
    1. I will be selling on Saturday May 23 from about 11am-4pm.
    2. If you ordered anything from my shop before the May 1st deadline and want to pick it up at AN, please send me an email letting me know when you'd like to get it from me.
    3. I will have a computer available for Paypal/credit card purchases.
I've been posting sneak peeks on Flickr and Instagram (mostly Instagram), so please check it out if you'd like to see. Anything tagged with #dollnorth is coming with me this year. :)

inEssence Creations - MiniFee Halter Tank Tops
Eyebleed Flowers with white top-stitching and magenta

Finally, for anyone who reads this far, I've also been working on a (not so) secret project for Doll North this year (check Instagram ;) ). I hope everyone likes it as much as I do!
