Moar Update

This term has been pretty crazy, lots and lots of little (and middle-sized) individual projects and big group projects, family stuff, health stuff etc. etc. It's been very hard to get anything done. Just looking at the pile of stuff I need to do is incredibly daunting.
That being said, I also haven't been managing my time very well, so I need to work on that.

Giant update go! :D

I've been working steadily on Subtle Memory and making friends with my sewing machine. Starting to believe that not all of them are out to kill me, though I don't get along with the bobbin very much. But I'm learning, and it's MUCH faster, which is great.

Subtle Memory is going to be a mix of hand sewing and machine sewing, now that I'm confident enough with at least the basic stuff. I might end up needed to restrict it to one size for now though, since it's a bit difficult to balance my time or focus on so many sizes at once.

Subtle Memory - MNF sweaters
Sweaters! They need to be de-fluffed and ironed.
It's getting really strange having multiple of the same thing sitting around.

In other news, I reopened commissions a while ago to try and keep myself from going crazy sewing the same thing over and over. I've finished one - a cute MNF ruffle shirt, but didn't get a good picture of it since my camera had been kidnapped, so here's a longer version that I made as a prototype and am keeping for Tobi (it looks funny on Mali).

Tobi - Unoa Lusis hybrid
The commissioned one had a purple ribbon on the neckline.
Thinking about adding a blue one to this.

The other commission is another set of pukipuki cosplay outfits. I'm actually very excited for it, even though I've never really heard of most of the characters. The puki should be arriving soon so I can start working... so I'll have to get a lot of work done on this collection over the next week or so.

I had hoped to get a lot done over Reading Week... but that turned into a giant mess, so nopes...

Lastly, since I've promised myself I'm going to Anime North this year and I'm going to have fun no matter what, I've been considering entering the doll cosplay contest at Doll North. I've already picked out the outfit and it's not too complicated, but I'm going to have to get a ridiculous amount of school work, commission and collection work done soon if I'm going to be able to justify taking the time to make it.

So... with that in mind... OFF TO WORK! :D
